Hua-Shih College of Education divided into five departments aims to nurture education professionals.

(1) Department of Education and Human Potentials Development
(2) Department of Educational Administration and Management
(3) Department of Early Childhood Education
(4) Department of Special Education
(5) Department of Physical Education and Kinesiology

Hua-Shih College of Education was established on Oct 27th, 1947. Due to the decision to combine National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), the school has become a part of NDHU, named Hua-Shih College of Education, since 2008. 
In 2024, Hua-Shih there are about 54 assistant professors, associate professors, and professors in charge of about 1000 students.
International students that include master or Ph.D degree,  in Hua-Shih College of Education can get exposure to learners from diverse cultural backgrounds, such as Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and the US.
